Day one of the BAA (Bluewater Athletic Assocation) track and field championship wrapped up yesterday in Kincardine.
Top performers, as expected, included Jordan Collison of Saugeen (winner of both the 1500m & 2000m steeplechase) and, on the women's side, Rita Rudell of Peninsula Shores. Rudell won the 100 hurdles in 14.1 seconds and picked up another victory in the senior girls' high jump.
Day 2 of the championship got underway this morning at 10am.
As with other districts, top competitors will advance to the CWOSSA championships next week.
