WCSSAA & D8 Track Meet - Team Champions + Individual Results

It was a familiar sight when all was said and done as Cameron Heights (WCSSAA) and Resurrection (D8) were again this year's overall champions.  Both schools also were tops in overall boys and overall girls categories.  Resurrection ended up topping second place St. Mary's by about 123 points, while Cameron Heights was nearly 200 points better than 2nd place Bluevale.

Cameron's girls points were the strength over the past couple of days.  In fact, their boys teams did not win any WCSSAA category but maintained balanced scoring in each division to give them the overall title. 

On the girls side, CHCI's junior and senior girls' teams were the only squads to crack 100 points in any division -- the juniors racked up 157.5 and the seniors 163; those numbers alone would have put Cameron Heights in 4th overall had all other results been excluded!

Meanwhile, in D8, we saw a similar trend.  Although Resurrection won just one boys category (junior boys), they did so in convincing fashion --- outpointing second place St. Mary's by a 220-97 margin.  It was the difference as they took the boys crown by only about a 60 point margin.

On the girls side, it was Rez's midget girls who nearly doubled up second place St. Mary's (162-86), which proved to be the difference in the Phoenix's 49 point victory.
